Janet and George Emerson

Janet and George Emerson were my great-grandparents. Janet was born at Awamoko in 1884, to Phoebe and George Aitchison.
George Emerson was born at Otepopo (or possibly Maheno) in 1881. His parents were Robert and Elizabeth Emerson who came from Northern Ireland.

Below is a picture of the 'Shepherd and Shepherdess' that someone gave them for a wedding gift. These sat on Nana Emerson's mantelpiece for many years, then passed to Aunty Lucy, then to H, who passed them on to me. Currently tucked in a box. They are made of german bisque porcelain and height is approx 30cm.
