My Grandad ...

My maternal grandfather was Ernest Emerson born in Weston, North Otago, NZ on 7th November 1910. He was the fourth child of Janet (nee Aitchison) and George Emerson. The family later moved to Hilderthorpe just north of Oamaru and farmed there. My grandparents married in August 1938 living mostly in Dunedin before retiring to Blenheim in 1977. Grandad passed away in 1985. He was a nice, quiet man loved by all his family.

Sometime soon I'll add some info about his time in the army during WWII.
