Grandma's family

My maternal Grandma was Marjory Ada YORK (married name Emerson). She was born in Hampden, Otago, NZ on 29th April 1919. Her parents were Tom & Kate York. Marjory was their seventh child.


                             Here is a picture of my Gran as a wee baby in a pram - so cute!

When Marjory was four the family moved from Hampden on the coast to Hakataramea inland from Oamaru.

This picture below was taken circa 1973 shows Grandma York and her eight daughters, her husband and son having both died in the 1940s.
