Tapestry maps .....

There is a possibility that in the 16th century the family may have been involved in the 'Sheldon tapestry maps'. These were manufactured in the village of Barcheston, Warwickshire and tracing the family to there I came across some Dutch sounding names. All very interesting. Could we have Dutch or Flemish weavers in our family tree I wonder?

An ancestor in the Hitchcox family is Hannah Thornet (or Thornot) and I have traced her line back to 16th C Barcheston.
