Tom York 1887-1943

My Grandma's dad was Thomas Henry Irwin YORK. He was born near Beechworth, Australia to parents Cecilia and Edward YORK. He had a happy childhood with his brothers and sisters on the family orchard. He left Australia as a young man to seek his fortune in New Zealand, working as a cook on the Moeraki estate where he met his future wife, Kate WILLIAMS.
