Lydia married Arthur Hitchcox of Taston, Chipping Norton in 1859. Their first few children were born in Woodstock including Emily, although I think some of them died in infancy. In 1874 the family emigrated to NZ and had more children born here:

After her husband Arthur died, Lydia advertised for work as a 'ladies nurse' in Dunedin. Lydia herself died in 1924 - here is the death certificate:

Lydia's parents were John Stockford (1803-1885) and Sarah nee Dixon (1801-1885)
Sarah's parents were James Dixon (born 1776) and Mary nee Hale (1781-1862)
Mary's parents were Solomon Hale and Martha nee Townsend.
Martha's parents were William Townsend and Martha nee Selman (1710-1772)
Martha Selman's parents were William Selman and Jane nee Speed (born approx 1690 in Astally, Oxfordshire)
These folk are all from Oxfordshire, England.
Line of descent: me - Mum - Marjory - Kate - Emily - Lydia - Sarah - Mary - Martha - Martha - Jane (the mtdna for this female line is haplogroup X2 which originates in the Levant)
